Labshock Brings Electroshock OT CTF to BSides OT Paris
A simulated electrical substation and three rounds of OT challenges at Campus Eiffel on 22 October 2026.
Labshock will run the Electroshock capture-the-flag challenge at BSides OT Paris on 22 October 2026, joining the event as a headliner and its first partner. The event takes place at ECE Paris, Campus Eiffel.
In 2025, community members demonstrated Labshock at BSides events. This year, the next step is to run an event inside the environment—not only show it on a screen.
Three rounds inside an OT environment
Electroshock places participants in a simulated electrical substation. The format follows three rounds: quarter-final, semi-final and final. The environment is simulated and isolated for the event.
Participants must find their way through the OT network, understand the process and work with the HMI and controllers to complete objectives.
The aim is not only to locate a flag. It is to understand the system, make a decision and observe the result in the simulated process.
From demonstration to participation
We want OT security events to give participants something they can work with directly.
That means an industrial environment where they can test their skills, compare decisions, see results and learn from one another. Process knowledge should matter alongside the ability to use security tools.
Electroshock is a starting point for more event formats built around that principle, including both offensive and defensive decisions.
