Labshock CTF Season 1 Opens This Sunday

Last Sunday we tested it with the first players. This Sunday it opens to everyone, running on the Battlegrounds scoring system that shipped in 2.4.0.

Last Sunday we tested Labshock CTF with the first players.

This Sunday we open Season 1 for everyone.

Two Ways To Learn

Labshock has always given you two paths:

  • Read and understand how OT systems actually work
  • Enter a scenario and test what you can do to it

Season 1 puts the second path on a shared clock, with other people on the same plant at the same time.

Why Breaking Something Teaches What Documentation Cannot

Documentation tells you what a system is supposed to do.

A safe environment where you can actually break it tells you what happens when it does not.

You make a decision. The system reacts. You see the result. You try again.

That loop — decision, reaction, observation, retry — is how knowledge becomes skill. Reading alone does not produce it.

What Season 1 Adds

The first beta ran with ten players on one plant, and the format held. Season 1 scales that up: more action, more feedback, and more ways to learn alongside other people instead of alone.

The Mission Has Not Changed

Make OT security practical.

Make skills visible.

Make security testable.

Season 1 is that mission with a leaderboard.

This Sunday

The opening event is free. Seats are limited.

OT security must be testable.

Not documented.
