What a change looks like when it is proven
Engineering logic gets tested before deployment. Security controls usually do not, because there is nowhere safe to run them. This is that place.
Recreate the environment
Build the topology your estate actually has — IT, DMZ and OT segments, the controllers you run, the protocols they speak. Not a generic lab: the architecture you are about to change.
Apply the change
The firewall rule, the segmentation boundary, the new detection logic, the vendor integration, the PLC logic revision. Whatever is queued for the next change window.
Run real process behaviour
Operate the plant. Genuine Modbus, S7comm, DNP3 and IEC 104 on the wire from controllers executing real logic — not a replayed capture.
Observe both sides
What happened to the process, and what your monitoring saw. Those are different questions, and the gap between them is where OT security usually fails.
Decide
Approve, adjust or reject — on the basis of what the system did rather than what the design said it would do.

Public sector and military, on terms procurement can sign — fixed term, purchase order, no auto-renewal, and terms that cannot change after you sign.
