Labshock Releases Netfields and Logicveil: Modbus Registers and Siemens S7 Data Blocks
Two protocol zones taking users into register manipulation, S7 data blocks and SCADA-to-PLC communication analysis, with more than 30 new quests.

March 2, 2026 — Labshock has released World of Labshock v2.2, expanding into deep industrial protocol training with the Netfields and Logicveil zones, focused on Modbus and Siemens S7 communication.
The release enables hands-on interaction with low-level industrial protocols, including Modbus register manipulation, Siemens S7 data blocks and the PLC communication workflows used in real automation environments.
Structured exercises cover coil control, register operations and SCADA-to-PLC communication analysis, supporting realistic test and defence scenarios across cyber-physical systems.
More than 30 new quests were added across industrial domains. Protocol knowledge is where OT security either becomes concrete or stays abstract: a coil is a physical output, and writing to one has a consequence that a packet diagram does not convey.
Netfields and Logicveil arrived together in v2.2, and the protocol work they introduced underpins the zones that followed.
