Labshock Releases Industrial DMZ Architecture: IT, DMZ and OT Zones You Can Test Across

July 8, 2025 — Labshock has introduced Industrial DMZ Architecture, adding enterprise-grade network segmentation and dividing environments into IT, DMZ and OT zones.
The release models how critical infrastructure isolates corporate networks from operational technology, enforcing separation between business systems, intermediary services and the networks that control the process.
Firewall rules, controlled data transfers and restricted communication paths can be studied across zones, which makes industrial security boundaries and cross-segment traffic flow directly inspectable. The DMZ layer shows how SCADA systems, engineering workstations and PLC networks are isolated in real deployments.
Segmentation is the control most often drawn and least often tested. A zone diagram states an intention; only traffic that fails to cross the boundary demonstrates it.
Industrial DMZ Architecture arrived in v1.7, and the zones it introduced are what later firewall and segmentation work is tested against.
