Labshock Listed Among the OT/ICS Resources to Learn From in 2026

July 31, 2026 — Mike Holcomb has published a curated list of the OT and ICS cybersecurity resources he recommends for 2026, drawn from what he describes as more than a hundred hours of sorting through them. Labshock appears twice.

The list runs to nineteen entries across five categories — books, YouTube channels, projects, conferences and GitHub repositories. Labshock is named under projects, summarised as a place to learn to attack and defend virtual oilfields, and again among the repositories worth cloning.

The company it keeps is the useful part. Under projects it sits with GRFICSv3, Alchemy and a TryHackMe room; the books alongside it include Sandworm and Hacking Exposed: ICS. It is a list of things to work through rather than a list of vendors.

Holcomb has been a recurring route by which the platform reaches practitioners. He supported the DEF CON sessions in the ICS Village, devoted an OT Cyber Tuesday episode to attacking a Labshock process, and Daniel Lowrie credits a mention on a Simply Cyber panel as how he first came across it.
