Labshock Teaches OT Security at the CYBERGY FAU Summer School 2026
The second edition of the Erlangen summer school brought around 35 students, researchers and industry practitioners together for a week on securing critical infrastructure.

August 10, 2026 — Labshock took part in CYBERGY FAU Summer School 2026 — Cybersecurity in Critical Infrastructure — held from 3 to 7 August 2026 at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg in Germany.
The summer school is organised by the Network Security Research Group at FAU Computer Science 7. Its second edition brought together around 35 students, researchers and practitioners from academia and industry for five days of expert-led sessions, discussions and hands-on work.
The programme covered critical infrastructure and smart grid security, OT and ICS cybersecurity, AI for cybersecurity, threat modelling and risk analysis, network detection, and smart building security. Labshock chief executive Zakhar Bernhardt was among the speakers.
FAU has taught with Labshock environments across successive years, using operable industrial systems rather than diagrams of them — students work the SCADA, the PLC logic and the protocol traffic directly.
The 2026 edition was supported by EELISA European University. A third edition, CYBERGY 2027, is planned.
