Labshock 2.4.0: Logfall, Battlegrounds and Skill Trees
The platform started as solo learning. OT security is not solo work, so this release is built around doing it with other people in the same environment at the same time.
Labshock started with solo learning. Version 2.4.0 moves it towards doing the work together.
The Old Shape Worked
You enter the lab. You learn the system. You attack it. You detect it. You fix it.
That works, and it is not going anywhere.
But OT security is not solo work. It happens between engineers, operators, defenders, pentesters and whole teams, and the disagreements between them are where most of the learning is.
What Is In 2.4.0
Logfall brings SOC and detection work, with 25 guides and 12 hands-on labs.
Battlegrounds brings live OT events — objectives, process scoring and leaderboards, on an environment everybody shares.
Skill trees now cover three paths: industrial, offensive and defensive.
Core factions add a direction to pick. AC for Automation Core, DC for Defense Core. Choose the one you are.
New exercises connect detection, process impact and incident response inside the same safe environment, rather than teaching them as three separate subjects.
We Tested It First
The first Labshock CTF ran last Sunday, and the format did what we hoped: people joined the same plant, investigated the process, tested systems, shared progress and compared approaches while the leaderboard moved.

From Alone to Together
That is the direction. Not replacing the solo path, but adding the part that was missing — the room.
Call it event driven.
OT security must be testable.
